A taxi driver has returned more than 400,000 baht in cash to a shop owner who left a plastic bag containing the cash and clothing in his cab. Montri Wongsakhot, 39, returned the bag containing lace cloth and 420,000-baht cash to Wanida Khongchanacharoenchai, 56, owner of a dress shop in Bangkok’s Samphanthawong district, at Chakkrawat police station on Friday, Thai media reported. She said the money would be used to pay her life insurance premiums at a bank but she could not remember the licence plate number of the taxi.
